COACH, INC. TO CHANGE ITS NAME TO TAPESTRY, INC.

Very soon, Coach, Inc will be known as Tapestry, Inc. as the company announced on Oct 11.The accessible-luxury group said the decision to change its name was a way to express its new form as a multibrand entity with a variety of unique properties, as opposed to one that’s dominated by a single brand.The holding entity continues to have Coach, Kate Spade New York and Stuart Weitzman under its portfolio. Explained Victor Luis, Chief Executive Officer of Coach, Inc, “We searched for a name to reflect these values while also expressing the cultural diversity of our people and our brands for today and tomorrow.
