Christian Louboutin & Wonderland open London Fashion Week with a party to celebrate the launch of the new Run Loubi Run runners collection.
To mark the debut of Run Loubi Run, Christian Louboutin’s first collection of luxury runners for men and women, the Maison has collaborated with Wonderland to produce a short film and still images featuring leading dance talents from the Royal Ballet: Principal dancer Lauren Cuthbertson and First Soloist Marcelino Sambé.
Made for inner-city life, but with an insistence for individualism and a refusal to conform, the sneakers are about breaking convention in a crowd. Worn for Wonderland by the Royal Opera House’s ballet dancers, Lauren Cuthbertson and Marcelino Sambé, they prove elegance is an attitude, even in audacious footwear.
Bringing to life the creative movement and precision of ballet in an urban dance school, the film and stills play on the magnetic chemistry between the two dancers to recreate a modern love story.
The beauty of dance movement has always been an inspiration for Christian Louboutin’s creations and is celebrated in this creative project. From the dancers of the Folies Bergère to the magical stage of the Royal Ballet this alliance is one that has been forged by dance and will continue to live on.
