Dean and Dan Caten began their fashion journey in New York City in 1984. Eight years later, the Canadian twin brothers moved to Italy to build a fashion label of their own—one that carried their identity and creative vision.

In 1995, after collaborating with several renowned Italian fashion houses, the brothers launched their first DSQUARED2 collection. The debut immediately captured international attention, celebrated for its fusion of Canadian attitude and refined Italian tailoring —a combination that would become the brand’s signature.
