The fashion trends to look out for in 2017

Spring/Summer 2017 takes fashion back to the basic with a touch of modern aesthetic and ultra-feminine glamour. With white shirts and sheers for the season, 2017 is their own fashion stage.

White Shirting

The Spring ’17 runways gave way to clever riffs on the white button-down, begging the question: why go back to the basics? Because the modern updates are a refreshing twist on the staple we love so well and, better still, just as versatile. This season, it’s about subtle updates, like a wrapped waist, a slashed cutout, or an asymmetrical hemline.

Sheer

Sheer has often been one of those runway trends that’s been difficult to translate into real world style. Runways saw full dresses, skirts and tops in the see-through fabric… which looks great on the runway, but perhaps not so much at the office. However, the sheer trend isn’t going anywhere, at least designers are taking everyone’s comfort level into consideration for spring. From Valentino, Dior, Fendi, McQueen, Giambattista Valli and Balmain sheer, transparent and see-through looks dominated the Spring 2017 runway.
