How to Wear a Blazer – 3 Easy Outfits

The Weekend Brunch
Weekend style game in need of an update? Mine too actually. We sort of stole this outfit idea from model Karlie Kloss and her off-duty NYC wardrobe, but slogan tees are everywhere right now and we don’t like to be left out. Team a witty tee with your fail-safe blue jeans and courts and throw on a smart blazer in blush – it adds that feminine spin for a look that works just as well in Newcastle, Norwich and Northampton as it does in New York.

The Special Occasion
I’d love to rock up at a wedding in nothing but a cute cami and floral pencil skirt, but let’s not kid ourselves – even a June wedding can be a little nippy, especially when the sun goes down. So enter the ivory flute sleeve jacket – dressy enough for the dressiest of dress codes, with conversation-starting flute sleeves. Delightful!

The Girls’ Night Out
I remember the days of hitting the town without a jacket (less time in the cloakroom queue, more time on the dancefloor right?). These days I prefer NOT to accessorize my outfit with goosebumps, a little black blazer is much more chic. Thrown over an on-trend cami top – think velvet, shimmer or plissé – and worn with black skinnies and killer heels. That’s Saturday night’s look sorted.
