Exactly How Justin Bieber Keeps His Baby Face So Smooth

What do Mick Jagger, John Mayer, Zac Efron, and Justin Bieber all have in common? Besides a set of pipes and a combined net worth high enough to fill Oprah Winfrey’s 56-acre California estate with all the puppies and bath tubs, they also happen to be super beauty fans.

And there’s a lot more where that came from. In fact, there’s a whole list of unsuspecting actors, musicians, and Hollywood stars who are also low-key skin-care aficionados. Curious yet? Click through the slides ahead to find out exactly who they are, what they love, and why in the hell they haven’t landed a beauty contract… yet.

Justin Bieber

You didn’t think he got his baby face by doing nothing, did you? In a very enthusiastic Instagram story over the weekend, Bieber shared his skin-care musts in a mini beauty tutorial. “I put a little bit of this on a little bit of this, and I go shablam! all over the dome,” he says, referring to his Clarisonic brush and Christie Kidd cleanser. (But before you run to the store and splurge on both, he adds, “I wouldn’t take anything I just said seriously.”)

Hugh Jackman

Ever wondered why Wolverine always looked so damn bronze? Apparently, it’s the result of some at-home self-tanner. Sophie Evans, a skin-finishing expert for St. Tropez, says she’s been spray tanning Hugh Jackman (and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness) for years — and that he uses its bronzing mousse religiously before any major event.

Zac Efron

The teenage heartthrob-turned-A-list actor knows a thing or two about sunscreen (he is starring in the remake of Baywatch, after all), but we had no idea his level of enthusiasm. In a recent interview with Refinery29, Efron practically begged his fans to put on some protection. “I think sunscreen is super important. You have to get a mineral block; clear zinc works really well. I like Elta MD. They make a waterproof version. Wear sunscreen every day, please. No amount of sun is safe, in my opinion.”

Ed Sheeran

When the singer-songwriter recently jammed out with Anne-Marie to an acoustic tune called “Ciao Adios,” there was lots to be seen in the impending YouTube video: guitars, bottles of wine, bottles of water, and… Weleda Skin Food!? That’s right, apparently the pair are fans of the richly hydrating and soothing moisturizer — which left us wondering if Sheeran was talking to the brand when he sang “put that body (cream) on me” after all.

Dwayne Johnson

With two decades of spotlight time under his belt, The Rock has somehow managed to look exactly the same — and people are demanding answers. Luckily, in response to one curious fan who asked for his anti-aging tips via Twitter, he responded, “Neutrogena deep cream face wash, Lancer or LaMere creams and tequila often. Not on your face, but drinking it.” Now that’s a routine we could get behind.

Spencer Pratt

He may be one of reality TV’s most notorious villains, but Pratt is nothing if not a skin-care enthusiast. (In fact, one could argue that he loves beauty almost as much as he loves healing crystals, which, for the record, is a lot.) The one product he keeps in his arsenal by the boatload: Avène face mist. He told Refinery29 he uses it “five times a day,” especially right after a Jiu Jitsu class. His skin can just be so sensitive, you know?

Mick Jagger

Jagger may have the moves of a rockstar, but his skin-care routine is as regimented as a dermatologist. According to reports, he is known for booking luxurious La Prairie Caviar Facials regularly, slathering his face with Lancôme moisturizer, and applying two layers of Creme de la Mer eye cream before his head even hits the pillow each night. A rock ‘n’ roll price tag, indeed.

John Mayer

If you need proof that the musician knows his beauty products, remember: He once sniffed out Child Perfume from across the the room during an interview. Which is why his $1,457 skin-care regime comes as no surprise. One thing on his recommendation list? Apply Natura Bissé Diamond Extreme Eye… to your entire face. “Eye concentrate is really just better facial moisturizer but more expensive and in smaller bottles. Use it,’ Mayer said.

Owen Wilson

Wilson could be considered the male equivalent to Julia Roberts, in that he’s often referred to as America’s Sweetheart. It makes sense, then, why he’d want to keep his mug fresh-as-ever — which he does with the help of beauty brand, Ren. The product he goes through the quickest? Its antioxidant and vitamin-packed moisturizer, the PR rep tells us.

Shawn Mendes

On days the singer isn’t stealing the hearts of young fans everywhere, he’s slathering up with Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Cream — the top-selling tush lotion sold at Sephora. He captioned one Snapchat, “No joke best smelling stuff on earth. No I don’t use it on my bum. Hands only.” Thanks for the clarification there.
