On the afternoon of November 29th, the FUEL YOUR PASSION event organized by PUMA on the occasion of the Borussia Dortmund club’s arrival in Asia, took place at the Youth Football Training Center stadium located on the VFF campus.
The FUEL YOUR PASSION event is part of the Asia Tour of Borussia Dortmund Club (BVB) in Asia which includes Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam. In particular, in Vietnam, this is also the first time that young football talents will be able to practice and participate in a match with Borussia Dortmund’s players, thereby inspiring children about the “king” of sports.
The children were guided by the Dortmund players in dribbling techniques.
The event had the presence of players Marco Reus, Donyell Malen, Emre Can and two legends: Roman Weidenfeller and Patrick Owmoyela. On the Vietnamese side, there were former famous players Nguyen Hong Son and player Mac Hong Quan.

Sharing his feelings when coming to Vietnam, Marco Reus said:
“When I came here the weather was hot but pleasant. Vietnam is very beautiful, now I am extremely excited to prepare for a friendly match with the Vietnamese team.”
Meeting famous players from the Borussia Dortmund club made the children extremely happy. Although the weather was quite hot, it did not stop the passion of the future Vietnamese footballers who attended the event.
Within the framework of the exchange, 30 young players greeted attendees, chatted together, took souvenir photos, and asked for autographs of their favorite players. Notably, after the warm-up, passing, and receiving the ball under the guidance of the players and former players, 30 children had a competition with their idols.
The team with a combination of Borussia Dortmund players and two Vietnamese players, despite having a lot of experience, let 30 young players win with a score of 4-0. Being able to directly confront and win against professional players has created excitement and joy for the children present at VFF’s pitch. The event has an important meaning to boost morale and help young players build a passion for the beautiful game.
