Color inspirations for AW17

Ted Baker knows how to gear up his muses from clothes to colors.

The globetrotting influences on Colour by Numbers continue for this season, with a set of tonal palettes defining the range, as well as contemporary, Scandinavian-inspired prints. Ted takes us through two of the key palettes for the season in the collection, together with their associated global locations. For AW17, shapes have been refreshed, materials refined, and final flourishes filtered for a collection that remains a simple formula for everyday style.

Dreamy pastels

Soft and elegant, the dusky pink colour is still a wardrobe essential and finds its way into many of the Colour by Numbers pieces. Contrasted with powdery greys, delicate silvers and soft monochrome patterns, the pastel palette conjures up visions of some of Europe’s most chic hotels.

Leafy retreats

Contrasting sharply with the pastel hues is a darker story, involving shades of khaki, deepest blacks, greys and metallic touches. Relaxed shapes and effortless fabrics underline the back-to-nature aesthetic.
